Position Summary

The Human Resource Director (HRD) serves as a crucial strategic partner to the Facility CEO and other members of the leadership team. They play a vital role in defining, developing, and executing human resources strategies. This position entails overseeing a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation management, and training and leadership development. The HRD is responsible for providing guidance and direction to a team of HR professionals. Reporting directly to the hospital CEO, the HRD also collaborates with the HSC Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) for strategic alignment.

Responsibilities of the Position
  • Lead all Human Resources activities within the designated facilities.
  • Supervise HR staff members in the hospital, setting expectations, providing training, and managing performance.
  • Collaborate with the HRBP to ensure HR strategies are in line with the overall vision.
  • Develop and implement recruitment, retention, and succession planning programs based on data-driven strategies.
  • Act as a liaison with the hospital leadership, communicating HR initiatives, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with regulations.
  • Offer guidance to facility management on disciplinary procedures and promote positive employee relations.
  • Oversee the design and maintenance of competitive compensation programs.
  • Ensure HR compliance for various audits and surveys.
  • Establish effective communication channels for employee engagement.
  • Provide oversight for HR programs such as Workers Compensation, Performance Management, and Leave of Absence.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Stay updated on legal requirements and advise management accordingly.
  • Support community efforts and uphold organizational expectations.
  • Perform assigned duties effectively.

Requirements

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Preferred PHR/SPHR certification.
Minimum Work Experience
  • At least five years of progressive HR experience, focusing on various HR functions, preferably in healthcare.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in managing employee relations in a multi-site environment highly desirable.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulatory compliance.
