Responsibilities

As a Social Worker at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, your role involves conducting social work assessments and interventions for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients. Collaborating with the healthcare team, you will devise and execute treatment plans that promote patient-centered care for individuals and the medical community.

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and craft treatment plans addressing the medical, social, and resource-related issues affecting patients, families, and at-risk populations.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with physicians, case managers, nursing staff, county agencies, community resources, patients, and families.
  • Participate in hospital committees, as well as develop and deliver in-services to the hospital staff.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 1-Year Post-MSW experience or Social Work internship in a clinical or medical setting.
  • LMSW license from the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
  • Master's Degree from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
  • Exceptional customer service and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are vital.
  • Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Proven capability to effectively manage multiple tasks or projects.
  • Aptitude to work independently with keen attention to detail.
  • Efficiently work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3-Year Post-MSW healthcare experience.

Pay Range

$48.73 /hour
