Requirements
- Pass a criminal background check
- No contact with offenders incarcerated in the facility
- No unpaid traffic or parking tickets
- Have reliable transportation
- Store personal belongings in a personal vehicle while at work
Responsibilities
- Compliance with ATC Healthcare Services and Client policies and Procedures
- Maintain records, prepare reports and correspondences
- Complete nursing assessments
- Dispense medications and monitor medical compliance
- Refer individuals to medical for evaluation if needed
- Support FDA-approved medications for opiate use disorder
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Provide patient care with cultural sensitivity and respect for autonomy
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active, current, and unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice
- At least one year of nursing experience
- Various required credentials including background screening and CPR certification
Working Conditions
- Correctional setting
- Possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids
- Physical demands requiring ability to read medical equipment and documents
- Regular physical examination may be required
