Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our growing manufacturing site in Cleveland. As the HR Manager, you will play a vital role in our workforce by ensuring compliance, fostering positive employee relations, and driving performance excellence. Your expertise will be essential in supporting recruitment efforts and improving learning and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically while also operating tactically. They must also maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with all plant personnel, fellow HR team members, and other staff. This highly impactful role will be crucial to the site leadership team and will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Performance Management:
    • Collaborate with site leadership team members to develop a high-performance culture that aligns with the site's operational goals.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to managers and employees.
  2. Employee Engagement:
    • Organize employee engagement initiatives (e.g., team-building events, recognition programs).
    • Measure employee satisfaction and implement improvements.
  3. Employee Relations:
    • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
    • Promote open communication and resolve issues promptly.
    • Collaborate with management to maintain a harmonious workplace.
  4. Recruitment Partner:
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements.
    • In partnership with our Talent Acquisition Manager, source talent, interview, and select the most suitable candidates.
    • Oversee contingent labor staffing, ensuring efficient utilization of the temporary workforce.
    • Build strategic partnerships near the site to enhance our talent pipeline and attract skilled individuals.
    • Manage onboarding processes: Facilitate smooth transitions for new hires, ensuring they are well-integrated into the organization and equipped to contribute effectively from day one.
  5. Learning and Development:
    • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of training needs specific to the Cleveland site. Understand the unique requirements, skill gaps, and areas where employees need support.
    • Develop and deliver training programs covering safety, leadership, and technical skills.
    • Monitor employee development progress and evaluate program effectiveness.
  6. Compliance Leadership:
    • Stay abreast of labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and Corporate and Plant policies and procedures.
    • Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  7. HR Metrics and Reporting:
    • Collect and analyze HR data to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management.
    • Use data insights to drive strategic decisions.
  8. Benefits Administration:
    • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries.
    • Facilitate annual open enrollment activities for our Cleveland site.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work off hours (early mornings/nights/weekends) occasionally as needed to support all shifts and/ or business requirements.
  • Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $100,000 to $130,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
