We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Manager to provide inside support for the external sales team and our customers.

The role is based at RDM's USA corporate office in New Hope, MN or from a remote home office.

The purpose of this role is to support Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), value added resellers (VAR), contractors and end-users to develop and support new business sales opportunities.

The majority of focus is training, sales support, field support and project management to ensure successful project implementation.
Your role will include but is not limited to providing the following to Contractors, OEM and VAR organizations:
Promote RDM products and services within the organizations
Establish and develop relationships within the organizations
Provide training to technical and sales personnel within the organizations
Identify business opportunities by working with the organizations by evaluating their position in the industry and researching and analyzing sales options
Help secure results in line with the RDM-Inc. perspective and key account business plan, drive growth and sustain profitability
Support the organizations by delivering technical solutions and product support in conjunction with RDM-Inc. Technical Support Department
RDM controller configuration and programming (parametrical and TDB)
Maintain awareness of competitive strategies, products and sales activities.
Manage customer expectation and support all customer needs
Document sales discussions, contacts, company information and opportunities in the RDM CRM system
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
Coordinate sales effort with business development team
Keep abreast of best practice and industry trends while continuously improving through feedback
Maintain proficiency in all products, services and third-party devices that RDM offers
Assist in the development of future RDM training programs
Ideal Requirements

Experience in and understanding of HVAC/R Controls
Approximately 50% travel to support RDM clients
1+ year supporting the sales functions of an organization
Basic understanding of sales pipeline management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent spelling, grammar, and business proposal preparation skills
Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Deductive reasoning and application skills
Proven proficiency in common software applications including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Word, internet savvy
