Stratton Road is an active program seeking individuals to provide hands-on support to residents with varying physical challenges. The residents are highly agile and may exhibit occasional frustrated behaviors requiring personalized care. Employees are expected to assist with medication administration after proper certification.

New Rochelle, NY

Hours

Saturday 7:30am-10:30pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Utilizing effective communication and time management skills
  • Collaborating within a supportive team environment
  • Completing required trainings (AMAP, CPR/First Aid, SCIP-R, Defensive Driving, etc.)
  • Demonstrating OPWDD Core Competencies
  • Ensuring health and safety through crisis management and supervision
  • Assisting with daily living activities and transportation
  • Building positive relationships and maintaining a therapeutic environment
  • Implementing person-centered plans and documenting accordingly
  • Utilizing teaching skills for better support
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred

Experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities field is beneficial

Ability to assist individuals with disabilities

Basic communication and computer skills

Driver's License and Tuberculosis test may be required
