This position will provide leadership for Annual Project Management Summits, the Commonwealth Project Manager Development Program and Project Manager Training program. It requires the employee to be mobile, meaning (that in the course of executing their assigned duties) the employee may on a daily and weekly basis meet and work with customers and stakeholders at their business locations.

Minimum Qualifications

Active (current) Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Superb listener with the ability to build solid relationships, community and influence.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

Demonstrated ability to make decisions and provide guidance to others.

Knowledge and experience in organization change management, IT investment management, and operational or tactical planning is required.

Ability to perform well and make decisions in high-pressure situations.

Knowledge and experience in the planning and implementation of Commonwealth Level information technology projects or in the review and evaluation of such projects is required.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Additional Considerations

Demonstrated experience providing governance and oversight for Commonwealth Level IT projects.

Prior experience serving as the Project Manager of record for a Commonwealth Level IT project with a project budget of $1M or more.

Knowledge and experience working with multiple Commonwealth executive branch agencies.

Thorough understanding of Commonwealth state government operations.

In depth knowledge of the Commonwealth Project Manager Development Program and PM Qualification Record system.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience using the Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) tool, Planview.
