Job Description

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). This position involves working with children of different age groups across various shifts:

  • 7 am - 3 pm
  • 10:30 pm - 8:30 am
  • 4-day schedule 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
  • 2 shifts 12:30 pm - 10:30 pm and weekend day from 10:30 am - 10:30 pm.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have:

  1. Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card
  2. CPR certification

Must complete:

  1. Background check - including MVR with 39-month history check.
  2. Drug Screen
  3. TB test

Responsibilities include ensuring the health and safety of clients, implementing program activities, managing behaviors, and following individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with the team, participate in planning and executing treatment goals, and maintain a team-oriented environment. Flexibility required to work with clients across different shifts and locations as needed.

Job Specifications:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of six weeks behavioral health work experience or Bachelor's Degree in related field plus six weeks behavioral health work experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Require significant amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and standing
  • Daily cleaning tasks
  • Frequent computer and office equipment use
  • Outdoor activities with potential exposure to different weather conditions
  • Driving company vehicles
  • Physical intervention with clients as needed
