ASC is currently seeking to hire Infection Control Coordinators for our Fort Lauderdale campus. The Houekeeper/Laundry Attendant performs housekeeping and janitorial tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the campus.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Cleans public areas, Administration building, ADT, and school buildings, including bathrooms, kitchens, windows, floors, furniture and common areas.

- Performs all housekeeping duties including:
  • washing linens for 3 ICFs
  • cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed
  • sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, mopping and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets,
  • dusting furniture and equipment including phones, computers and copiers
  • polishing metalwork
  • washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and window sills
  • Stocks cleaning cart with supplies.
  • Empty wastebaskets, and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
  • Ensures with maintenance that trash and dumpster areas are clean.
  • Washes windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
  • Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to the Supervisor
  • Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies
  • May perform other duties as assigned
- Performs all laundry duties of resident linens including:
  • washing, drying and ironing resident laundry and community linens and textiles in provided appliances
  • folding laundry appropriately
  • distributing laundered articles and linens

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one (1) year working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Must pass a Level II Background, Drug screening, Physical and PPD
