Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of theapplicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader ofOthers, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Accomplishes payroll human resource objectives by selecting,orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling,and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations;planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommendingcompensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Resolves problems related to Payrollprocessing; identifies system improvements. Works closely withShared Service, WFM team, and Executive Compensation and BenefitsDepartments to provide a seamless process for resolvingpayroll-related issues.
  • Ensure Payrollprocessing is processed in a manner that provides timeverification; accurately calculates and produces checks orelectronic transfers; calculates and produces various incentivebonuses. Ensures that information given to Treasury reflectscorrect funds transfer amounts.
  • Balancespayroll accounts by auditing information; identifies and resolvesdiscrepancies; works with Accounting to ensure journal entriesarising from Payroll processing are madeaccurately.
  • Determines payroll liabilities byreviewing federal and state income and social security taxinformation, 403b transfer and direct deposits, wage assignments,and garnishments.
  • Ensures that Payroll recordsare managed in a manner that meets internal and external auditrequirements and internal Compliance needs.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attendingeducational workshops, reviewing professional publications,establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-artpractices, and participating in professionalsocieties.
  • Accomplishes organization goals byaccepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;exploring opportunities to add value to jobaccomplishments.
  • Extensive knowledge of InforPayroll Processing in a multi-state and facilitycompany.

Requirements:

  • Associates' degree or equivalentexperience in Payroll processing required.
  • 7+years of Payroll experience required in large organizations withmultiple locations in various states.
  • Abilityto lead and motivate staff.
  • Excellentcommunication and customer service skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Infor.
  • Knowledge ofWorkforce Management Time System.
  • Understandstax, benefits administration, and general ledger reportingneeds.
  • Is discrete and knows how to manageconfidential information professionally.
  • CPPpreferred.
