We are looking for a Project/Field Engineer to join our team The Project Engineer is responsible for implementing the technology solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction. This hybrid role is based out of Chattanooga, TN.Our project engineers execute technical implementation projects for our clients; they upgrade, configure, install and maintain existing networks and servers, while creating and maintaining proper documentation.
Experience Required:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in system engineering or IT support, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft-based system administration, including Active Directory, file and print server management.
- Strong skills in managing email systems, preferably Microsoft-based, although experience with other platforms will be considered.
- Proficiency in computer networking principles and network security protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted services such as Microsoft 365. Experience with virtualization technologies is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) software.
- Cloud migration experience
- Experience implementing and managing Microsoft Azure & Office365 including SharePoint solutions based on clients' needs
- Successful track record of implementation technology solutions through projects
- Strong experience in server & storage solutions from partners such as Dell/HP/NetApp/EMC/EqualLogic/Open Stack
- Experience in all virtualization platforms such as VMWare/Hyper-V/Azure
- Understanding of emerging technologies such as hyper-convergence, SD-WANs and hybrid cloud solutions
- Experience in firewalls/switches/VLANs utilizing such products such as SonicWALL/Cisco/ /WatchGuard/Ruckus/Fortinet/Dell Networking
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. Exceptional skills in these areas are highly regarded.
- Professional physical presentation is essential, as the role requires regular onsite visits to customer locations.
- Valid driver's license & clean MVR. (this role requires travel to client sites in the area)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
80% of the week is generally spent working on 3-4 projects at a time. This work is primarily done remotely, from your home office. Types of projects our team typically works on:

- Wireless Installations/Upgrades
- Server Migrations and Upgrades
- Windows Servers Installs/Upgrades

- InTune, SharePoint, Teams
Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily sedentary but requires exertion and lifting of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Occasional crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Repetitive use of computer (keyboard/mouse), and phone. Visually inspects, prepares, and analyzes data & figures, views computer constantly. Frequent travel (car). Occasional exposure to outdoor environmental conditions because of travel.
