We are on the lookout for a qualified Staff Network Engineer to devise and build efficient, scalable network systems that significantly enhance the performance of our cutting-edge 5G network. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and rollout of network routing solutions for a nationwide 5G network expansion. They will offer advanced technical guidance for intricate project tasks, encompassing enhancements to essential network components and strategic network upgrades. In this capacity, your duties will include:

  • Evaluating architectural prerequisites and conducting assessments for network and service specifications, as well as network design within a multi-VRF setting;
  • Crafting, organizing, and executing sophisticated LAN/WAN setups on a national level within a service provider framework;
  • Effectively conveying engineering concepts through precise high- and low-level diagrams;
  • Contributing specialized expertise to devise network test, validation, and integration strategies for projects while ensuring network reliability;
  • Engaging in practical implementation and maintenance for 24x7 operational support of network systems.

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements and Experience

Successful applicants for the role of Staff Network Engineer should possess:

  • Undergraduate degree in electrical/computer Engineering is desirable;
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience within a sizable corporate environment or service provider sector;
  • Holding professional networking certifications would be advantageous – CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or similar;
  • Additional certifications related to public cloud are beneficial – advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalent.

The ideal Staff Network Engineer will feature up-to-date practical knowledge with recent engagement in:

  • SIP and RTP protocols
  • Service provider networking;
  • ISIS, MPLS, and Segment Routing
  • BGP routing and route reflectors
  • Multi-VRF environments with traffic shaping and QoS
  • IP Address Management, DNS, and DHCP
  • Highly available, redundant configurations and failover mechanisms
  • Considerations for network security design and firewalls
  • Additional services like TACACS, ISE, VPN
  • Network automation, or scripting utilizing Python, Bash, Ansible
