The VP of Operations will drive excellence in product development, ensure timely delivery of electric vehicles, and foster a collaborative approach across the organization. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is based at the company's Oak Park, MI headquarters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations organization with integrity and effective leadership.
  • Provide strategic direction across various disciplines including Program Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
  • Drive teams to deliver the highest quality products to customers through continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to meet organizational objectives.
  • Mentor team members, ensuring continuous improvement and effective resource management.
  • Establish safety programs and maintain good employee morale.

Requirements

We are looking for team players with technical skills, humility, and a dog-friendly attitude.

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Operations, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in automotive engineering, with strong operations and manufacturing background.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams across Program Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
  • Resilient, self-driven, and skilled in budget management.
  • Strong business acumen with negotiation and management expertise.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with negotiation, program management, and strategic planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and flexible in schedule availability.
