Our client is seeking a mission driven consultant on a contract basis to join their development department. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively as well as be able to manage their time with great attention to detail. This ideal candidate will need to be highly organized and have the ability to interface with many departments that includes assisting and supporting the fundraising team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure information and donations are properly recorded accurately and up to date in database
  • Generate and mail thank you letters and tax receipts for all gifts
  • Support direct mail campaigns as needed, including preparing/segmenting donor and prospect lists, and coordinating with vendors
  • Support the creation and circulation of donor-impact e-newsletters
  • Assist in producing and formatting reports as needed and/or gathering data and information, as needed
  • Provide general administrative support, including opening and routing mail; answering telephones; maintaining inventory, and ordering supplies.
  • Provide event and one-off project support as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a nonprofit organization
  • Proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or another database management system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft
  • Experience in fundraising, project management, or community outreach.
  • Strong research abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong project and time management skills
