What You'll Do:


The Production Supervisor will oversee the overall operations of specific areas ensuring production goals, consistent quality standards, and customer delivery requirements are all achieved.

The Production Supervisor will lead team members and organize workflows in complex assembly operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products. This includes meeting scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operationsPlans production operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing productsEnsures successful team operations by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresMaintains staff by selecting and training team members, then developing personal growth opportunitiesCollaborates with nearby departments to ensure production goals are metMaintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a "One Whisker" spirit of cooperation within and between departmentsCompletes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summariesMaintains quality of product by establishing and enforcing organization standardsEnsures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniquesProvides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requestsCreates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing changeEngages in 5S ("Sort", "Set In order", "Shine", "Standardize" and "Sustain") activitiesEnsures timecard accuracy for all department team members through the company payroll system Navigates staffing shortages with the plant leadership teamManages multiple production areas to help cover when other leadership is unavailablePerforms additional responsibilities when required

Leadership Responsibilities:
Directly supervises department Teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities following Whisker policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, training, and hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing team issues, and upholding safety and quality guidelines.
