SUMMARY OF POSITION:


The Director of Finance – Penn State Health Medical Group works effectively with Provider Operations teams for both the Academic and Community Practices to ensure overall financial performance within budgeted parameters.

This position serves as the internal financial consultant to the Penn State Health Medical Group, and coordinates with both internal and external resources to provide the appropriate analytical and strategic support for management decision making.

The Director is involved in annual budget preparation and long-range financial forecasting for the Practice, prepares appropriate budget variance analyses to drive any corrective action, assists with preparing necessary business plans for capital expenditures or new clinical programs or new businesses.

The Director is responsible for continuous improvement of the financial performance for the Penn State Health Medical Group. This position helps identify and assists in solving problems that serve as barriers to effective financial performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum ten (10) years progressive experience in Corporate or Public accounting. Healthcare and physician finance experience required.Â
Minimum five (5) years of management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Master's degree or certification as a CPA, CMA, CPAM, CHFM.
