You will be responsible for overseeing various QA processes, including microbiological testing, equipment calibration, and sanitation procedures. Quality Assurance Manager - Food Sector

Location:

  • Reporting Office: Windsor, Colorado
  • Ability to cover Fort Collins and Windsor sites

Compensation:

  • $50-$65 per hour
  • Contract to hire

Responsibilities:

  • Pull samples for microbiological testing
  • Verify the effectiveness of and document metal detection logs
  • Test AW and document on water activity logs for each work order
  • Document oven temperatures and RF settings every hour
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to adjust ovens and bake times based on visual quality checks and Aw results
  • Randomly check and verify weights on bulk packaging and boxed products
  • Schedule and manage all QA equipment calibration
  • Perform all pre and post-cleaning procedures to meet sanitary requirements
  • Conduct new QA checks as required for new processes
  • Fulfill any additional job functions as requested by the supervisor

Necessary Skills:

  • HACCP Certified

Education/Experience:

  • Experience in the food-related production sector
  • Quality Assurance experience - 3+ years (management 2+)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • High School Diploma required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • General knowledge of machine operation
  • Basic math skills
  • Creative thinking for troubleshooting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Safe working habits
  • Ability to operate motorized lift trucks after on-the-job training
