Your Role:
Taylor Communications, a branch of Taylor Corporation, seeks a Warehouse and Delivery Clerk in Jeffersonville, IN.
Your Duties:
* Conduct physical and/or administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing equipment and materials
* Check and confirm incoming items against invoices or other documentation, noting shortages and declining damaged items, updating the inventory system
* Organize and supervise inventory of raw and finished goods in the warehouse
* Retrieve products from the warehouse for delivery to the production area
* Pack products in suitable containers before final shipment, affixing necessary labels
* Utilize different shipping platforms for FedEx, UPS, and USPS
* Adjust to a dynamic and swiftly changing environment
* Support in monthly inventory counts
* Potentially operate a forklift, hand truck, or other machinery for loading, unloading, and storing goods
* Fulfill other warehouse and shipping duties as necessary
* Prepare orders and items for shipping
* Document shipment details like weight, fees, and space availability
* Unpack received materials and supplies
* Report any damages and discrepancies for accounting and record-keeping
* Complete shipping and receiving reports
Your Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Necessary Skills:
* Fundamental computer competencies and numerical skills
* Capability to work autonomously, resolving problems when required
Qualifications for this Position:
* Ability to effectively communicate and convey precise information and concepts to others (both in writing and verbally)
* Regularly stationary for extended periods
* Constant operation of machinery and handling of products, including printed materials
* Frequent movement within the facility
* Regularly lift, push, pull, or carry items weighing 25+ pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding of material handling equipment operations like sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks
* High school diploma or equivalent, coupled with relevant experience
