We have an immediate need for a first shift medical receptionist/front desk associate for a local medical family practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan.


Responsibilities:

  • Greet and checkin patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, both in person and over the phone
  • Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
  • Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member
  • Assist with billing and payment processing
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting is preferred
  • Proficiency in using medical software systems such as Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar platforms
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
