Utilizing advanced equipment and procedures, such as Outpatient Imaging Center, orthopedic and surgical services, rehabilitation, a modern birthing center with 24/7 neonatal coverage, emergency care, wound care/hyperbaric center, 3D mammography, and comprehensive heart care. From diagnostics to open-heart surgery, we strive for excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities:- Meets expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provides nursing care based on the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments following protocols.
- Documents patient information accurately.
- Educates patients and families, identifying needs and resources.
- Utilizes critical thinking to assess patient needs and communicate findings.
- Develops individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Monitors patient progress and modifies care as needed.
- Ensures safe patient care practices for positive outcomes.
- Educates others on healthcare operations, ethics, and regulations.
- Follows clinical standards and procedures.
- Maintains patient documentation accurately.
- Uses medical equipment effectively and educates patients on usage.
- Processes medical orders and ensures accuracy.
- Reads and interprets patient charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Prioritizes patient safety and responds to inquiries promptly.
Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred. Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License. BLS (American Heart Association) certification. ACLS and PALS required for experienced RNs. Crisis intervention training within 12 months of hire. TNCC required for trauma facilities.
