Job Summary:
Reporting to the Cogen Superintendent, this role is responsible coordinating learning and development of operators, assisting in the development of SOP's and ESLP's, and best practices in operation of boilers, steam turbines, and auxiliary equipment.
The process lead will prepare, develop, manage and coordinate the training of hourly and salaried colleagues, implementing Safe Work and other safety programs.
This role will work closely with site and department leaders to assess efficiency, identify continuous improvement opportunity and support process sustainability.
EDUCATION OR TRAINING PREFFERRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associates in Business or higher.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
5+ years of management and leadership experienceExcellent safety record and awarenessPrevious continuous process experiencePowerplant operation experience required
SKILLS PREFERRED:

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
Focus on daily process optimization, employee development, and management-of-change.
Empower employees to develop ideas for operational, efficiency, and safety improvements.
Manage and facilitating Continuous Colleague Development activities throughout the Cogen. Follows and incorporates all safety, quality and site rules while performing work and crafting training processes.
Read and utilize plant documentation including Process Manuals, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Permits, etc.
Support the design and development of training materials and assessments along with learning/certification plans. Deliver learning content for classroom and field training as well as develop others to do the same. Facilitate written and performance assessments as well as vital remediation plans. Provide effective feedback and mentoring throughout operator qualification process. Responsible for the Site's new hire training and managing the mentoring program. Analyze surveys, assessments, field audits and key performance impacts to determine training efficiency.Enhance skills to include adult learning methodologies and deliver one on one coaching and instruction, in the field training, casual small group training, and formal stand up instruction.
Share on-call duties with other cogeneration supervision team members.Participate in the development of standard operating and emergency procedures for area.
Other duties as assigned.
