Your new role, what's involved?


As a Senior Engineer, you will be pivotal in driving the delivery of civil and bridge engineering projects and will use your knowledge and skills to deliver the right quality to time and budget.

You will use those attributes to mentor and support junior team members.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

Bridge design

Bridge strengthening and repair, inspections and assessments

General civil and structural engineering support to other teams

Feasibility studies and options appraisals

Preparation of specifications, reports and health and safety risk assessments

Preparation of fee estimates

Supervision of junior members of the team.

Work within a team of engineering professionals based in Northampton, the UK and across the world.

Deliver planning, design and construction services for Local Government clients across the UK.

YOUR TEAM
Your projects range from designing new highway infrastructure for developments to major sustainable transport improvements

Your clients are the many UK Local Authority framework commissions complemented by expanding relationships with other local and national agencies

This role reports to the Central Delivery Team Lead

Your team is growing from around three or four people in the UK and a similar number in India with expectations of doubling within a year – this worldwide representation brings a diverse culture to your team

Specific development opportunities include progression to higher grades within Local Government as the team grows over the coming months

The Northampton office is in the Brackmills business park on the edge of town with direct access to the A45 and M1, a short bus ride from Northampton Rail Station or using the adjacent 'Norbital' cycle route

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Experience of UK local highway engineering delivery

Experience of UK planning policies and processes

Ability to understand technical, legal and safety requirements

Ability to prepare and present technical reports to senior managers, clients and stakeholders

Good working knowledge of Health & Safety including CDM 2015

Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or significant relatable experience

Full UK Driving Licence
