responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs, instrumentation, and drives.

  • Siemens PLC programming

  • Analyze data for quantifiable improvements in manufacturing.

  • Manage improvements across multiple production lines.

  • Identify gaps in automation deployment and implement PLC program improvements.

  • Facilitate change management and sustainment documentation.

  • Perform electrical and controls layouts, update drawings in CAD.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance.

  • Analyze machines for conformance with operational standards.

  • Improve manufacturing systems and reliability of electrical, control systems.

  • Be flexible and adaptive in a fast-changing environment.

  • Assume project manager role for improvement projects.

  • Write project specifications for vendor bids.

  • Provide project justification and cost-benefit analysis.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams in design, planning, installation, and commissioning.

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering field and 3 years of professional experience.

  • Extensive background in PLC code development.

  • Experience with motion control systems using VFDs and Servos (Siemens preferred).

  • Electrical distribution troubleshooting and design experience.

  • HMI programming experience (Aveva preferred).

  • Knowledgeable user of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office.

  • Effective presentation and communication skills.

  • Apply principles of mathematics, statistics, and engineering.

  • Empowered, self-directed individual capable of prioritizing workload.
