Job Title: Gastroenterologist

Company: Genesis HealthCare Systems
  • 3-year contract term with a guaranteed base salary
  • Signing and retention bonus available
  • Work with EPIC medical systems
  • Focus on 100% clinical Gastroenterology
  • Access to state-of-the-art equipment in the endo suite at ASC on hospital campus, along with a dedicated GI inpatient team
  • Clinical Volume/Expectation: Handle 30+ patients per week in the office. Your weekly schedule will consist of one full day and one half day. Every fourth week, you will be on call with no scheduled patients in the office during that week. However, you will have outpatient scheduled scopes on call weeks.
  • Staffing Overview/Office Staff & Clinical: Utilize 2-3 exam rooms while in the office. Our nurse/cma pod handles tasks for physicians, and specific CMAs are responsible for rooming all patients. The office is equipped with 16 exam rooms and one procedure room for ambulance patients.
  • Procedure Volume (endoscopy): Procedure volume varies, and physicians have input on case volume.
  • Weekly Schedule-Clinic and OR: Devote 1.5 days to office work (with hours from 7 am to 4 pm) and the remaining time to endoscopies. Your scheduling in the Endo suite will be determined with input from the OR.
  • Benefit from 4 APPs who assist physicians with scope referrals, along with an APP available in the hospital from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, for consults while physicians are scoping or handling ER and inpatient referrals.
