Data Science Engineer - Contractor

Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics consulting services and product firm that gives clients unmatched speed to value through analytics solutions and actionable business insights, is seeking candidates for a talented Data Science Engineer to join our team.

As a Data Science Engineer, you will be expected to support existing data science use cases / optimization processes and the associated data engineering work that goes into supporting them. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science and data engineering, including experience with DataBricks, ETL processes, Python, SQL, Alteryx and PowerBI.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to understand, assess, and explain the underlying data science techniques like forecasting and optimization
  • Design and develop scripts necessary for the data extraction processes
  • Automate the data extraction and modeling processes as necessary
  • Work on data analysis and development related assignments as required
Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:
  • PhD in Operations Research, Econometrics, or other applied mathematical discipline OR Master's in Operations Research, Econometrics, or other applied mathematical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
    • Or
  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science, or other applied mathematical discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Expertise in statistical and data analysis, forecasting, and optimization
  • Experienced in Python, SQL
    • DataBricks experience a plus
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with Alteryx or Knime a plus
  • Familiar with Scrum Methodology & JIRA
  • Excellent written, verbal skills
