Seeking an Electrical Control Engineer with OEM experience to join the team.

This position requires an individual that can design custom control systems that integrate well with the client's equipment and manufacturing processes that provide optimum solutions.

Will report to the Controls Engineering Manager, but will also work closely with other Controls Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Assemblers, and Project Management to create functional control systems.

There is a team approach to problem solving throughout the organization.

Daily job duties:

  • Managing assigned projects from definition through manufacturing, testing and startup.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external Project Managers, Engineers and other resources to understand project scope, and define and document changes as needed.
  • Drive project schedules while working closely with design and construction to ensure milestones and completion dates are on track.
  • Develop basic documents for equipment operation and training use.
  • Develop programming for PLC's, Servos, and HMI's for the equipment.
  • Lead and/or support start up equipment at the customer site.
  • Creating bills of materials and ordering parts required for projects.
  • Create and or edit ACAD-Electrical drawings and schematics as needed.

Requirements:
Experience with design, programming and implementation of the following:

  • Rockwell Control Logix & Guard Logix PLC's
  • HMI's (Studio 5000 ME with some knowledge of SE)
  • Kinetix motion controllers and drives
  • AC & DC drives
  • Basic computer skills, Word, Excel
  • Must be willing to travel, 15 20% for start up assistance is REQUIRED
