Position Description: Surgical Technologist – Non-Certified
  • Technical support in the perioperative period under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Preparation of equipment, instruments, and supplies to ensure a sterile field
  • Coordination of specimen preparation and disposal
  • Assistance in inventory management of sterile supplies
  • Possible involvement in patient transport

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR 5 years of acute care experience
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in sterile technique, instrumentation, and equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Location: St Josephs Hospital North

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: Flexible

Weekend Work: Rotating schedule

On Call: Required
