Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist role involves understanding the professional scope of practice outlined by California's Business and Professional Code. Successful completion of the foundation's orientation period is required, demonstrating competence in skills and behaviors. Tasks include maintaining a safe environment, providing patient care services under supervision, preparing patients for examinations, conveying instructions, collecting and documenting patient data, and performing diagnostic imaging. This position entails travel to various sites as needed and flexibility in scheduling, potentially working in other modalities with appropriate licensure. Occasional assignments in different locations within the Greater Sacramento Area may be necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or an equivalent AMA Technologic program, verified by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in collaboration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • State of California CRT licensure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, equipment operation, radiation safety, and maintenance of diagnostic equipment.
  • Current California CRT license.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic practice management systems, and PACS.
