JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS_

  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • 23 years experience as a cocktail server in a fastpaced bar
  • The ability to offer guests of the Bistro & Bar an enjoyable, expertly served experience conforming to Taj Hotels' standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness.
  • The ability to anticipate and service guest requirements before requests are necessary.
  • The ability to have a complete understanding of the food and the beverage menus.
  • The ability to serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
  • The ability to complete opening and closing sidework as assigned and have all tables set according to standard.
  • The ability to use the hotel's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings.
  • The ability to carry trays, bus and reset tables.
  • The ability to greet all guests promptly in a friendly manner.
  • The ability to recognize regular guests and to greet them by their name.
