The **Engineering Manager - Bay & Test** oversees the core assets for development at the **Magnetic Resonance (MR)** Waukesha facility - the engineering bays and the team running them. This role involves managing a team of technicians and engineers across various disciplines focused on maintaining development and test assets within the MR business. Additionally, the position involves dedicating time to supporting strategic initiatives. These activities encompass facilities operations, material management, asset financial control, EHS engineering representation, and bay, test, and calibration process development.

The **Engineering Manager - Bay & Test** reports to the **Senior Director of Program Management and Integration** at the **Waukesha Innovation Center**. The role offers autonomy with a need for significant operational judgment to meet business objectives.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including 3 years in program or people leadership
  • Deep expertise in relevant engineering discipline and problem-solving
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a global team
  • Strong communication and influencing skills

**Responsibilities**:

  • Manage a skilled team of engineering technicians dedicated to maintaining and expanding engineering bays for MR products
  • Plan and maintain engineering bay infrastructure for efficient testing processes
  • Establish effective processes for scheduling engineering test assets
  • Lead the engineering test equipment calibration lab for continuous improvement
  • Oversee the engineering contractor agency relationship for V&V testing resources
  • Represent the Waukesha MR Engineering organization in facilities maintenance and planning
  • Promote excellence in engineering EHS practices
  • Foster collaboration across teams for successful engineering design and development
  • Engage in business planning, recruitment, and talent development
  • Encourage innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Challenge team members to drive optimal processes for market success
