About this Role:


The Behavioral Health Expansion Branch (BHEB) within the Community Services Division (CSD) administers the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) grant.

The BHCIP provides competitive grants to qualified entities to construct, acquire and rehabilitate real estate assets, or to invest in infrastructure, for the expansion of community continuum of behavioral health treatment resources.


The Contracts and Fiscal Unit Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) serves as the contract liaison between contractors and Contracts and Fiscal Section (CFS) and Behavioral Health Continuum Program (BHCIP), as well as between CFS and BHCIP and the Department of Health Care Services' (DHCS) Contracts Services Branch.

Under direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the AGPA develops, operationalizes, and administers federal/state grant-funded and services and programs to reduce prevalence of Mental Health, Homelessness and Substance Use Disorder through the provision of prevention, treatment, and recovery activities.

Additionally, incumbent performs oversight and monitors contractors and grant-funded programs to determine compliance with project, contract, plan, and agreement requirements, terms, conditions, and services; generates policies and procedures, as well as provides training and administrative support, as needed.

Travel is required
25
% of the time. The position may require overnight travel for up to
5 consecutive nights to meet training requirements.

Results from the AGPA (9PB04) and/or SSA (EX-2105) examination currently in progress may be utilized for filling the(se) position(s).
