Brief Description:


The Site Reliability Engineer works with the DevSecOps Platform Product Line Manager and Infrastructure as Code SME, as well as other team members to ensure that the overall platform design and implementation is able to meet or exceed the service level objectives and agreements relating to uptime, availability, and mean-time-to-recover.


Required Skills:

  • SRE principles, practices, tools, and automation
  • Service Level Objectives (SLOs) & Error Budgets
  • Monitoring and Service Level Indicators (SLIs)
  • Anti-fragility, performance management, and incident management
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Experience in Technical Customer Service, Customer Management, and experience in escalations may be required.
  • Functions as a technical expert across the team and tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience to run infrastructure with Chef, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated experience in GitLab products. Improve operational processes (such as deployments and upgrades).
  • Demonstrated experience to Design, build and maintain core infrastructure that enables GitLab scaling to support hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
  • Ability to build monitoring that alerts on symptoms rather than on outages.
