Main Housekeeping Responsibilities:
Disinfect, dust, mop, and clean mirrors, walls, and floorsEmpty garbage, organize furniture, and change cubicle curtainsUse cleaning supplies and equipment according to guidelinesMaintain neat and orderly work areas and utility roomsReport needed repairs to the Director of Housekeeping and LaundryBuild positive rapport with residents, families, and visitorsOrganize and complete scheduled duties and special projectsFollow facility and department safety rulesAssist with inventory for scheduled projectsCollect and dispose of refuse, operate trash compactorShampoo carpets, buff floors, strip, and wax floors as scheduled

Main Laundry Responsibilities:

Provide clean linens and suppliesEnsure that resident/patients' personal clothing is identified, available, clean, and in good conditionUse facility marking system for daily distribution to resident and patient rooms, individual clothing needs, and lost/misplaced itemsMaintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment in resident and laundry areasQualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age.

Able to assume responsibility for sanitation and cleanlinessUnderstand and follow directions, both oral and writtenWork cooperatively with residents, supervisors, and peersExperience in housekeeping duties and operating housekeeping equipment preferred, but not requiredFamiliarity with floor care equipment (scrubber, extractor, wax strippers & wax) is a plusDisplay patience, consideration, and tact when dealing with staff, visitors, and residentsAble to operate a trash compactor and perform physical activities (including carrying up to 50 pounds)

Attention to detail is a mustSchedule:
