Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Processing Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working remotely with an in-office requirement once a week (Wednesdays). Training will be conducted on-site for the first 3-4 days. We are currently accepting applications from local candidates only.

This role involves managing incoming business for annuities, making outbound calls to verify the status of pending funds, processing annuity applications, and handling inbound calls from financial professionals. Candidates with professional or customer service experience are encouraged to apply. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the contract approval and issue process for all annuity applications, including direct rollovers, 1035 exchanges, direct transfers, and immediate annuities.
  • Verify appropriate signatures and forms are completed according to state requirements.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to verify the status of pending funds from financial institutions.
  • Review applications, perform basic data entry, conduct licensing checks, and set up initial contracts.
  • Contact financial advisors for missing information or clarifications on annuity applications.
  • Answer inbound phone calls regarding basic status inquiries from financial advisors and the internal sales team via our agent support line.
  • Maintain and manage all pending and follow-up cases on incoming business, communicating status updates to financial advisors.
  • Work independently to prioritize tasks effectively to meet service standards and client needs.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to procedures and checklists to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn all plan and contract details and provide exceptional service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of annuity products, processes, and procedures.
