Job Summary:


Incumbent is responsible for providing branch supervision to the staff when the Branch Manager is out of the office and is expected to efficiently and accurately direct operations using appropriate management techniques to perform duties in teller, member service and loan/mortgage areas.

Incumbent will assist the Branch Manager/Regional Manager in meeting branch sales/loan goals by coaching staff to match products and services to the member's needs.

Incumbent will also help build rapport with area businesses and realtor/builders by making visits and attending events. Incumbents will be expected to float to other branches as needed.

Qualifications:


An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field and/or one (1) year of management experience in a financial institution or related field.

One (1) year of lending and mortgage experience preferred, but not required. Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable three (3) year driving record preferred.

Essential Elements of the Job:

  • Ensure good communication between employees and management by reinforcing chain of authority, fostering an environment of fair treatment, addressing conflicts promptly, and promoting teamwork.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and courteous service to our members in processing transactions efficiently.
  • Process new accounts, mortgage loans, IRA's, consumer loans and transactional needs for member service requirements, including handling estates, trust, representative payee, POA, business and deceased accounts.
  • Follow check acceptance procedures.
  • Follow all opening and closing safety procedures.
  • Assist in the following area in the absence of a Branch Manager and with the approval from the Regional Manager or VP of Branch Operations and

Contact Center:

interviewing process and staff selection, employee disciplinary action, employee performance issues, conflict management, staff performance, scheduling, and communicating individual goals and focus areas to staff.


  • Remain current on changing policies and procedures in order to communicate and hold staff accountable.
  • Maintain and order materials, equipment and supplies as needed in the absence of the Branch Manager/Regional Manager.
  • Train designated staff in opening and closing the building following the written procedures.
  • Conduct sales meetings and process monthly reports as required.
  • Ensure proper security is followed by staff when outside personnel want access to the nonmember contact areas at the branch by following the written procedures.
  • Provide quality member service by ensuring confidentiality of member information.
  • Ensure proper cash ordering is maintained.
  • Look for efficiencies and cost savings in branch processes.
  • Log any facility issue on the spreadsheet.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Able to perform the essential functions of a Branch Manager in their absence.
  • Able to provide and participate in special projects.
  • Actively participate in seminars, continuing education, training sessions and workshops.
  • Able to maintain Federal NMLS# and process mortgage loans.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Job Skills and Work Relations:

Incumbent must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must possess strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills. Must possess basic knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Incumbent must possess good judgement, be detail-oriented, have initiative, demonstrate independent thinking, display professionalism in dealing with internal and external contacts and always maintain confidentially.
