This position will be responsible to monitor and control replenishment of product from Plants to distribution centers (DCs) to maximize fill rates and minimize backorders. Efficiently and effectively collaborate with the Plants and Markets to maximize required production and to distribute available inventory; optimizing article structure, safety stocks target and fill rates, while minimizing backorders and cost to improve Continental's overall profitability.

Ensure product availability and delivery reliability along supply chain: (End to End)

  • Review inventory levels to make sure market demand is met and there is no excess inventory.
  • Ensure inventory levels are within the agreed safety stock target.
  • Record, organize and monitor Direct Shipments (DS) orders confirmation and track.
  • Track of Goods Issue (GI) by month and projected deliveries.
  • Review un-confirmations and follow up with plants and markets.
  • Determine imports planning volumes by month by article (PSI).
  • Process any DS orders and track until shipped and received.
  • Monitor forecast changes throughout the month.
  • Efficiently maximize inventory integrity by Inter-DC replenishment (rebalance of inventory).
  • Review and enter scrap orders.
  • Manage replenishment order with Babenhausen (all components within Digital Solutions) to maintain agreed inventory levels.
  • Manage DC iTire reclass requests per agreed market alignment/priority.

Collaborate and coordinate with Markets and Supply Chain Organizations:

  • Align priorities with markets and communicate within the Supply Chain organization.
  • Monitor inbound deliveries to stay within each DC's inventory limits based sales tracking.
  • Work with Supply Management and Global Tire sourcing to identify/propose alternative solutions to reduce production constraints and shortages.
  • Coordinate with Plants and Markets on phase in/out of products and sourcing changes.
  • Alert Management of manufacturing issues and actively identify supply shortage.
  • Proactively review and communicate any FC changes or opportunities for production capacity review.
  • Manage new launch inventory volumes and work with Plant on SOPs

Special projects and reports as requested.

BASIC:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years of Supply Chain experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Proficient in PowerPoint - ability to deliver PP slides to C-Suite level when needed
  • High level of analytical skills; evaluating numbers and coming quickly to logical conclusions
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Ability and willingness to work in a complex, high-speed environment
  • Ability to think abstractly and independently, but also in a team environment
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental is able to offer visa support for internal candidates only or for those individuals who hold existing valid employment visas
  • A relocation package can be offered

PREFERRED:

  • 5+ years of Supply Chain experience
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SAP R3
