Responsibilities

  • The Berry Global - Mankato facility is currently seeking a night time Film Supervisor to manage a team of 15 on a 12-hour rotating shift from 6 PM to 6 AM.
  • Overseeing all shift production employees and equipment, conducting training, performance evaluations, and administrative tasks like maintaining records and preparing reports.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment by overseeing the shift safety program and minimizing accidents.
  • Making critical decisions to maintain high-quality production rates efficiently while coordinating maintenance activities with the Maintenance team.
  • Inspecting product lines, enforcing quality standards, and troubleshooting issues to meet job specifications.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of work order information.
  • Assigning personnel to production lines and ensuring proper set-ups and quality checks.
  • Assisting in training operators, overseeing equipment set-up, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Operating start-up processes, process control systems, and troubleshooting equipment problems.
  • Inspecting finished products for quality issues and notifying management of any problems.
  • Collecting shift data on production metrics and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Establishing and maintaining high housekeeping standards and analyzing employee skills for training programs.
  • Conducting performance appraisals and providing feedback to shift personnel.

High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in blown film manufacturing or manufacturing supervision. Strong communication skills and a mechanical background are preferred.
