Opportunity

The Manager, Inventory Control WI Operations reports to the Senior Manager, Warehouse Operations and is responsible for maintaining the Warehouse Management system, conducting Cycle Counting, investigating inventory discrepancies, and reviewing inventory excess & obsolescence within Kohler Generator Wisconsin Operations.

  • Overall accountability for Inventory Control corporate reporting and ensuring SAP inventory transactions align with physical inventory movement.
  • Drive excellence in Warehouse Management system design, implementation, and maintenance across all sites.
  • Conduct Cycle Counting to demonstrate Inventory Accuracy and drive key metrics improvement without the need for annual Physical Inventories.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies to recover inventory and address root causes of adjustments.
  • Implement a review process for reducing inventory excess & obsolescence and coordinate non-production inventory transactions.
  • Develop and execute material control improvement initiatives to enhance supply flexibility and capacity through lean material practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, team-based performance, and associate engagement & retention.
  • Provide innovative ideas for inventory management and stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
  • Participate in strategic planning for Warehouse Operations and support department goals through individual performance objectives.
  • Prepare reports, handle special projects, and fulfill duties assigned by the Senior Manager, Warehouse Operations.
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering with a focus on Supply Chain or Operations Management.
  • MBA and ongoing education in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills needed.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Warehouse Management preferred.
