Senior Specialist, Wealth Management Marketing

The senior specialist will be a key contributor to our content and digital marketing team, responsible for the ideation, development and promotion of content, from thought leadership to promotional marketing materials, for Northern Trust Wealth Management.

The position entails consistent, daily collaboration with subject matter experts and senior leadership across the business unit and firm to produce superior thought leadership on all facets of wealth management.

Please submit 1-2 non-confidential writing samples with your application, preferably of thought leadership in the financial services space or similarly technical subject matter

Skills:
Professional knowledge of financial services and wealth management, including investments and/or tax . Candidates with experience in financial services and/or who demonstrate a professional-level comprehension of relevant topics will be given preference.

Strong writing ability.


While the candidate need not be a professional writer, the position necessitates clear, sophisticated written communication skills, both for articles and other marketing collateral such as brochures and promotional copy.

Digital marketing aptitude .

The role entails consistent collaboration with our digital team members on the promotion of materials across platforms, externally and internally.

Although the position is not a dedicated digital marketing role, the ability to learn and understand the digital pathways for publication and promotion is integral.

Motivated self - starter .

The position requires a confident, experienced candidate who is comfortable collaborating with senior stakeholders, including independently pitching timely and insightful ideas; collaborating with subject matter experts on content development; and making strong, informed recommendations on maximizing impact across promotional channels.

Collaborative approach .

The Senior Specialist will collaborate with a large team as well as multiple stakeholders across Wealth Management and Northern Trust.

The candidate must demonstrate an impressive ability to constructively partner with a wide variety of personnel and departments across a broad, complex organization to efficiently complete projects.


Experience:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, economics, business, journalism or other writing-focused area of study

Excellent editorial judgment to ensure appropriate content and messaging for external audiences

Intellectual curiosity and aptitude to transform technical concepts into clear, concise content appropriate for a broad wealth management audience

Strong problem solving skills and collaborative work style

Strong project management skills to manage timely delivery of projects and escalate/resolve issues as needed

Ability to build relationships with subject matter experts to articulate a point of view and promote in a valuable, engaging way to client/prospects

Ability to use data to increase usage/effectiveness of content and alter strategy as necessary
