Exciting Opportunity:

A Field Service Technician (FST) plays a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and service of USA Compression equipment. Reporting to the Area Service Manager (ASM), the FST is responsible for various tasks including scheduled maintenance, customer relationship management, and equipment troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement routine maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime
  • Adhere to company policies and safety procedures
  • Maintain operational efficiency of compression units
  • Prepare essential operation reports promptly
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from management and customers
  • Participate in equipment installations
  • Collaborate with the team for major repairs
  • Ensure proper vehicle maintenance
  • Identify sales opportunities and maintain parts inventory
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members
  • Technical certification or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in gas compression
  • Self-motivated and independent worker
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to drive commercial vehicles
  • Experience with technical manuals and equipment configuration
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Capable of understanding company instructions and procedures
Working Environment:
  • Field Service Technicians travel to customer locations for repair and maintenance tasks
  • Physical requirements including lifting and working on varied terrain
  • Exposure to diverse weather conditions and noise levels
  • Job sites can be indoors or outdoors depending on location
