Job Title: Research Assistant - Center for Inherited Muscle Research Program (CIMR)


Job Description:

As part of the Center for Inherited Muscle Research Program (CIMR), this Research Assistant supports the Clinical Research Coordinators by updating and managing logs and filing charts, inputting data into computerized systems, aiding with regulatory documentation, and liaising with study patients for appointment reminders and follow-ups. Also responsible for assisting with network study supply inventory.

This role is ongoing with no fixed end date and continuation depends on project requirements, funding availability, and performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Research Visit Assistance (50%):
    • Prepare materials for study visits, including remote kits for participants
    • Collect questionnaires and biospecimens from clinic attendees
    • Enter data into research records
    • File source documents in participant binders
    • Ensure proper collection, processing, and shipment of specimens

  • Data Entry (25%):
    • Review and input data into study databases
    • Verify documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Administrative Assistance (25%):
    • Task 1: Update research regulatory folders and binders
    • Task 2: Perform other study-related duties as assigned


Essential Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Proficiency in computer usage, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe

Experience in cultivating diversity in work environments



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant college coursework
  • Prior experience in patient-facing roles
