Rate of Pay:
The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $108, ,700.00 per year and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.

Duties:
Supporting the execution of passenger locomotive projects ranging from $30M to $500+M in value and durations from 3-6 years. Collaborating with an international team at a large manufacturing facility where project management, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing are co-located. Supporting customer communication. Supporting the project manager during project execution phases including proposals, planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and customer acceptance. Supporting the project manager when leading discussions/negotiations with customers for scope clarification and changes in scope, cost and schedule. Overseeing design review activities for conceptual, preliminary and final design as well as any changes in project scope, identifying potential problems, and devising contingency plans. Driving the project schedule for design, project milestones, vehicle delivery and acceptance. Overseeing project activities for engineering and procurement, as well as actions for manufacturing startup. Communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Developing and delivering monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal / external stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Requirements:

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Project Management-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  • Interpreting technical documentation and drawings
  • Presenting technical content to customers and consultants
  • Working with negotiating change orders and related cost impacts
  • Driving project schedule for design, manufacturing, delivery and acceptance milestones
  • Working with procurement tasks for on-time delivery of components to the build schedule
25% domestic and international travel required for the role.
