Group Fitness Instructor - Fall 2024

Job Purpose

Instruct high-quality exercise classes to students and West Center members.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Instruct appropriate exercise classes as scheduled.
  • Ensure class site and equipment are properly prepared.
  • Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
  • Promptly enforce all policies and adhere to risk management procedures.
  • Record participation counts.
  • Attend staff meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Graduate Associate for Fitness and the Coordinator for Recreational Services and the West Center.
Qualifications
  • Certification from an accredited exercise organization, such as ACE, NASM or ACSM.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • High energy and the ability to motivate others.
  • Patience and the ability to explain instructions clearly and effectively.

10.00/hr
