Security Specialist

Key Role:

Process and maintain firm and government records and procedures for employees to obtain and maintain government security clearances. Apply specific functional knowledge to follow rules, regulations, and procedures, on individual access to classified information. Initiate personnel security action, coordinate security investigations, and track the status of a variety of personnel security cases.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the DoD Personnel Security Program and rules, regulations, and procedures, on individual access to classified information
  • Knowledge of the Army, DoD, the intelligence community (IC), and proponent agency counter-intelligence and investigative elements to initiate personnel security action, coordinate security investigations, and track the status of a variety of personnel security cases
  • Ability to present factual information both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the mission, functions, programs, activities, and work environments in the context of DoD 5000 to advise and assist managers on personnel security requirements
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
