Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Mountain View, California

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Mountain View, California. The SLP will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students, collaborating with educational staff and families to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support and enhance student communication abilities.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes.
  • Conduct screenings and re-evaluations as needed.
  • Provide training and consultation to school staff and parents regarding speech and language development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid California State License in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing or eligibility to obtain this credential.
  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of assessment tools and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
