SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring all raw materials used in Production is scanned to the correct work order, in the correct quantities, with the correct lot codes with no errors.  It is also the responsibility of the ISC to validate all scans at the end of the work order to validate quantities are correct for amount produced.  This position plays an active role in the Company’s Lean initiatives.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Execute assigned food safety, quality and continuous improvement activates to support any regulatory requirements and customers requirements.
    • Able to scan all raw material to the work order, ensuring correct item number, lot code and quantity in a timely manner to ensure Production stays running.        
    • Able to scan carry over from the correct work order, ensuring the correct item number, lot code and quantity is removed from the work order and placed back in the correct inventory location.
    • Able to scan raw materials from multiple lines in a continuous flow.
    • Ensures accurate weights of all products and counts scanned to work orders are accurately recorded and validated at the end of the work order.
    • Communicates regularly with Prep Room & RTE Provisioners regarding downtime, change over, period end, product problems, etc.
  • Maintains a good attendance record.

  • Participate in Lean activities.
  • Follows, all GMPs, government regulations, and safety and production practices/procedures.
  • Maintains a good attendance record.
  • Successfully completes EA Sween quarterly safety training sessions for the purpose of complying with both OSHA regulations and EA Sween policy.

 

SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS:

  • 95% of work day is spent on Temp Room floor.
  • Zero Safety Incidences of Team Members
  • Meet or exceed 99% fill rates.
  • Overtime as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to speak and communicate in English
  • Must have previous high speed assembly line packaging experience
  • Must be able to operate weight scale and follow QA/QC policy and procedures
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience a plus

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work in cool conditions (32 to 38 degrees)
  • Must be able to be on feet majority of the day
  • Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull
  • Must be available for work flexible schedule to include occasional weekends (Saturday)
