  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, system and application logs, and completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
  • Configure/add new services as necessary.
  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
  • Provide support for Web Applications.
  • Work with development team to validate and implement the correct installation/configuration of all resources utilized in the development environment.
  • Provide daily operations support for databases and database servers.
  • Manage Microsoft SQL Server database systems while insuring high levels of data integrity and availability.
  • Work closely with Software Developers and Senior Database Administrators.
  • Assist with managing database backups.
  • Provide hardware/software support for mobile devices in development and production.
  • Furnish backup support for software testing when all testers are otherwise occupied.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory and configuration of test computers.
  • Provide administrator-level support training.
  • Support a full range of hardware and software applications including personal computers, and network servers.
  • Provides end-user support, troubleshoots problems and implements changes in assigned areas.
  • Build Deployable Servers.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Medium/50 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Some occasional walking or standing may be required.

MINIMUM SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have and maintain a DoD SecretClearance.
  • 8 years’ experience working in military aviation.
  • 4 years’ experience directly relating to logistics.
  • Working knowledge of relational database management systems.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008, SQL Programming, Stored Procedures and Database Security.
  • Understanding of Data Maintenance, Database Performance Tuning, and Process Improvement.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
