Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Sunnyvale, California

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in Sunnyvale, California. The SLP will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders among students. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to create and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to students with various speech and language impairments.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to facilitate and support students communication abilities.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing to the goal-setting process for students.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and therapeutic interventions.
  • Perform regular screenings and evaluations to monitor and address student needs.
  • Educate and support school staff and parents on issues related to speech and language development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Active California State License in Speech-Language Pathology from the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing, or eligibility to obtain this credential.
  • Proficiency with assessment tools and intervention strategies for various speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in a school setting is advantageous but not required.
