We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based team in Knox, IN. In this role, you will work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to provide high-quality occupational therapy services, promoting students' independence and functional abilities in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students needs to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific goals and challenges.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on enhancing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and activities.
  • Monitor and document students progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
  • Educate and support parents and caregivers on strategies to reinforce skills at home.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Indiana.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their development and well-being.
