Position: School-Based Physical Therapist
Employment Type: Full-Time (W2 Hourly Contract)
Contract Duration: Academic Year 2024-2025
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' academic and functional goals.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve students' motor skills, mobility, and independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and related paperwork.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in [Location].
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Physical Therapy (NBCOT).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy.
